An AWESOME week in Shanghai

We had to go to Shanghai to apply for our UK visas.  So we decided to go for 10 days and have a look around a bit.  It was awesome.  I have never walked as much as I did these 10 days.  It was beautiful over the Qing Ming holidays as it is Spring and the flowers are beautiful.

We visited the Yu Gardens in the evenings.  It was beautiful seeing the old building lit up lights.  Shopping was the order for the day.

As we walked through the Yu Gardens, which was very very busy,  we saw some either Indian guys making some banana pancake rotis.  Oh my hat, they were yum yum yum.

Queen of Shanghai.  Yip I thought so at the time.

And of course you have to go to the Bund to take photos and to show that you were in Shanghai.  This is definitely a tourist destination that everyone should go to.

Paul found a car shop and wanted to go in and have a look.  Stashed in the back was a WRC Rally Car.

We also went for a walk through the Art Park.

We at a restaurant that served steamed dumplings.  They have meat inside, with soup.  So as you take your first bite, you have to drink the soup.  It is so popular that there is always a very long queue to buy them.

I love Shanghai at night.  All the lights just liven up the city.

We also visited the French Concession that Paul and the girls went to when they were in Shanghai.

Oh Johnny Walker

A very busy market in the French Concession.

We visited the music park.  It was so amazing.  This is where anybody and everybody gather on weekends (mainly) and weekdays and dance and sing and play instruments.  It is very entertaining.

What an amazing time.  We also went to visit the Shanghai Zoo and Aquarium.  But I will post another page sharing the visit there.

Keep reading and I will keep posting.
