CHRISTMAS

CHRISTMAS CONCERT

This year the children performed ‘The Sleepy Shepherd’ for our Christmas concert.  It is really awesome to see how far the children have come in their English Language in just a few months.  And how their shyness has also drifted away as they stand on the stage and perform for their parents and Officials from the city of Rizhao.  Well done YWIS.

During the weeks preparing for Christmas, the children got into the Christmas spirit and put up decorations and made a nativity scene for our corridor.  It really felt like Christmas then.

The principal gave the staff a little High Tea one afternoon as well.  We had organized a secret santa which was exciting.  This was a first to some of the Chinese staff.

And then our Christmas holidays began.  We had also put up some Christmas décor.
The girls stayed awake to open up their presents and Paul made a divine Christmas lunch later that afternoon.

We stayed at home for the holidays, but Steven, Paul’s brother, came to stay with us for a couple of days.  That's for another post.
Keep reading and I will keep writing.
