Home for the summer. (or Winter)

It is good to be on our way home again.  We have missed home terribly.

My daughters have been in the UK visiting their granny, but because their date of return was much later, we were going to only have a week of seeing them before we go back.  So I brought forward their tickets and was able to spend the summer holiday with them.

We spent most of our time in JHB as this is where all the documents were being sent to and where we had to apply for the work permit.  (Which has gone up in price I must say)

First we took our nieces out for a Wimpy.  They thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We had a scrumptious braai at Derek and Charmaines home.

We also visited Monte Casino to watch movies.

We spent time with family in Durban as well, with get together braais and going out to eat.  We had a get together so we could see all the family at one time.  Thanks Jo for organising.

The braaier.

Met up with Jo and went through to spur.

We also spoilt our girls a bit.

We went through to uShaka.  Nothing much has changed.

We ended our short stay in Durban with a farewell braai at my dad's home.  Always lots of fun and laughter.

Dad having fun.

There was a terrible cold front that passed through the country just as we were leaving for JHB.  Well thank goodness we did as the next day the freeway was closed due to snow and bad road conditions.

Road conditions were not good to drive in.

While we were in Joburg we had bad weather.  A tornado went through Thembisa and during that we had two big hail storms.  The clouds came over, it went dark, and then it poured down hail stones.  But the after affects on the property were beautiful.

We also had a birthday party for the two birthday girls.

 Delicious briyani

There were more braais and dinners with family and friends.  It was a busy time when we got back to Jhb running around getting our visas organised.

Then it was time to fly back to China, but to a new city called Shenzhen.  We are excited that we will be living in a first tier city this time, with more things to do and visit.

Keep reading and I'll keep posting.
