AND WE ARE BACK

So where did I end off. Aaah yes, the food.

Well its been kinda difficult to get to shops and carry a months worth of groceries home due to the fact that the shopping mall is so far away.  But we managed some buying, which usually last about 3-4 days and then have to go out to buy again.

The food is pretty cheap here if you are buying local food.  But they are ridiculous when you start buying imported (western) food.  A400g of Nescafe' coffee will cost you RMB46 (R76.82) and the Milo is RMB44 (R73.48).  The sweets are about RMB4 (R6.68), such as rascals, mentos etc.  We also have to weigh our potatoes (no 10kg bags) , fruit, some veges, and sugar.  And we have had difficulty finding normal bread, but we did, as they only sell sweet bread here.  Imagine eating salami and mozzarella cheese sandwiches on sweet bread?  HA HA HA

However we have eaten some local food that is prepared in the supermarket, fast food section.  Extremely tasty and delicious.

The detergent is not bad in price, however when you go shopping the attendants always try and lead you to the most expensive.  But they are so helpful.  And love conversing with a westerner.

Here are a few of the products we have bought over here in China.
