A week back from our travels and that Thursday I was invited to attend the Chinese New Year School Dinner.
A conference room was booked in the hotel before the dinner as speeches and a slide show wishing the staff a Happy New Year was shown. Then there were games and lucky draws. Yes, they believe in luck. We even had scratch cards to see if our luck was evident.
Every staff member was given a gift as well. It is very interesting how the Chinese people love playing little games and singing Karaoke. (I even noticed this when walking down Nanjing East Road where people had set up their speakers and had microphones and people were singing Karaoke in the streets.) Ha Ha.
Then we were all ushered to the restaurant where a buffet was served.
A good experience.
